Student Apps: Minga and StudentSquare

Simi Valley High School uses several digital tools to help students stay connected, access school services, and participate in daily school routines. Students should download and use both Minga and StudentSquare.

Minga

Minga is used for student campus tools and school-day routines.

Students use Minga for:

  • Digital student ID
  • Digital stickers, including off-campus lunch and free period permissions
  • Flex sign-up
  • School announcements and activity updates
  • School modules and student tools used by SVHS

Students should be able to access Minga on their phone. Students may also access Minga through a web browser when using a district-issued laptop or other approved device.

Students are expected to use Minga for Flex sign-up during TA Class, usually on Mondays, or as directed by school staff.

StudentSquare

StudentSquare is used for school communication with students.

Students use StudentSquare to receive:

  • School announcements and updates
  • Messages from teachers
  • Messages from coaches
  • Club, activity, and program communication
  • Important reminders from SVHS

Students should download the StudentSquare app and make sure notifications are turned on so they do not miss important school information. Students may also access StudentSquare through the web using their school account.

Cell Phone Use During Instructional Time

Students should not use personal cell phones during instructional time unless directed by a teacher or staff member.
