Pick-Up:

Modifications: No modifications are allowed, including decorations, sequins, patches, or changes to the length or material. Only official school awards and recognitions may be worn. Per California Education Code § 35183.1, students may wear tribal regalia or recognized cultural or religious adornments in accordance with the law.

Eligibility:
Available to students who participate in approved school-affiliated programs, honor societies, or activities. Students should check with their club advisor, coach, or department to confirm if a cord or stole is offered and how to qualify.

Distribution:
Provided directly by the qualifying club, organization, or department. Students may not purchase cords or stoles independently.

Ceremony Guidelines:
Only cords and stoles officially approved by SVHS may be worn at graduation. Unauthorized cords, stoles, or other regalia are not permitted.

Who to Honor:
Choose one teacher, coach, or mentor from any year of your education—elementary, middle, or high school—who has made a significant impact on your educational journey. The nominee does not need to be part of SVUSD.

Recognition:
Honorees will be invited to attend graduation, receive VIP seating, be included in the printed graduation program, and receive a Certificate of Appreciation.

How to Nominate:
Complete the Honor Guard Nomination Form – Class of 2026. Once submitted, SVHS staff will contact your nominee with all necessary information.

Reflection:
After nominations are complete, you will be asked to write a short reflection about your honoree and their impact on your life.

Deadline:
All nominations must be submitted by Friday, January 31, 2026. Late entries will not be accepted.

The SVHS Class of 2026 Graduation Ceremony will be held in the stadium. Families who cannot attend may watch live on the Hudl auto-tracking feed. The stream is generated by an automated camera and is not professionally produced. Guests sensitive to heat and sun, including young children and older adults, are encouraged to view the ceremony online.

Complimentary Tickets: Each graduating senior will receive four free tickets.
Additional Tickets: $15 each

• May 5–11: Limit of four additional tickets available for purchase per student 
• May 12–29: Unlimited additional tickets available for purchase until sold out

Children Age 3 and Older: Children age 3 and older require their own ticket for entry.
Distribution: All tickets will be distributed during Grad Fest on Tuesday, June 2.
Final Sales: If any tickets remain after presales, they will be sold at Grad Fest on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets are expected to sell out, so please plan ahead.

Graduation Programs:
Each graduating senior will receive two printed programs during Grad Fest.

Guest Arrival and Stadium Information:
Stow Street Closure: Stow Street will be closed on Thursday, June 4, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM between East Pittman Street and Fearing Street. Residents may access homes with valid ID.
Arrival Advisory: Arrive early and allow time for parking, walking, and screening. Long lines and delays are expected closer to the ceremony start time.
Mobility Consideration: SVHS does not provide transportation, shuttles, or golf cart service from parking areas to the stadium. All guests must be able to make their way from the parking lot to the stadium entrance independently or with assistance from their party.
Seating Policy: All seating is unreserved. Saving or blocking large sections is not permitted.
Footwear: Guests on the stadium turf must wear heels at least one inch wide. Narrow heels and stilettos are not allowed.
Concessions: Food and drinks will be available inside the stadium.
Water: A refill station is located near the stadium snack bar.

Stadium Rules and Security Screening:

• All persons and bags are subject to screening
• No balloons, umbrellas, or large signs (items that may obstruct visibility)
• Only factory-sealed plastic bottles, up to 20 oz., and empty plastic sports bottles or thermoses 
• No cans or glass containers
• No pets or emotional support animals (trained service animals only)
• No re-entry after exiting

Arrival Time: Vehicles may begin parking at 3:30 PM.
Parking: SVHS West Lot on Cochran Street, St. Peter Claver Church Lot on Stow Street (private property), and nearby neighborhood streets. Please follow all city regulations and be respectful of neighbors.
Line Location: Guests may begin lining up at 3:30 PM along Stow Street
Entry Gate: SVHS Stadium Stow Gate. Entry begins at 4:30 PM.
Entry Process: Upon arrival, guests will follow the line behind the home bleachers to the security screening area near the stadium snack bar.
Security Screening: All guests and bags will be subject to security screening prior to entry.

Guests with Accessibility Needs Information:
Approval Required: Accessible Parking and Early Entry is reserved for guests with documented accessibility needs. Submit the Accessible Parking & Early Entry Request Form by Friday, May 29, 2026, and include a valid disability placard number or state-issued disability ID.

Non-cultural or purely secular modifications to caps or gowns are not allowed.
