Current SVHS 9th Grade Students
Simi Valley High School will be meeting with all freshmen and their parents/guardians to create a 4-year plan and register classes for the upcoming 10th-grade academic school year during the Spring semester.
Parents/Guardians will attend the meetings via Zoom while students attend the meeting in person in the SVHS Counseling Office with their counselor.
The meeting will take about 20-30 minutes and will cover the following topics:
- Graduation/Credit Requirements
- UC / CSU “A-G” Requirements
- Registering for upcoming Academic Classes
How Students Are Assigned
Each student is assigned to an advisory class which they follow from grades 9-12. Each advisory teacher is paired with a counselor. A student’s counselor can be determined by reviewing the Advisory Assignments.
How to Build a 4-Year Plan
To build a 4-year Academic Plan, your student will log in to their Aeries portal. When they are on their student dashboard, they will select classes and then scroll to where it reads Academic Plan. Upon selecting that option, a student will be able to build their four-year academic plan. You may watch the How to Build a 4-Year Plan video for step-by-step instructions.
