Class of 2023 - Rising 9th Graders

Registration Process:

  1. Please attend one of our evening Registration Presentations for Parents & Students in the MPR, where we will be providing a detailed information about our various programs and course offerings.  Please attend one of the following:

  2. Registration forms and materials will be provided during these sessions, and students and parents can even complete/submit their forms during this time.  However, there is no need to feel rushed.  You may review the materials and complete the forms and return to us the following week (by Monday, 3/18/19). 
     
  3. Counselors will be visiting Valley View Middle School & Hillside Middle School to meet with students one-on-one on their MS campuses.
  • Valley View Middle School Students: Counselors will be meeting with VVMS students through their History classes on  Monday, March 11th and Tuesday, March 12th to offer one-on-one support and guidance for their registration and to complete their course selections for 9th grade.
     
  • Hillside Middle School Students: Counselors will be meeting with HMS students through their History classes on Weds., March 13th to offer one-on-one support and guidance for their registration and to complete their course selections for 9th grade.
     
  • School of Choice/New Students:  Please attend one of the presentations listed above (March 6th or 7th) and feel free to submit the registration form during that time, or return the following week (on March 12th) to submit your Registration form.  You may also drop off the form at our main office (please do so by Monday, 3/18/19).

 

As we complete these presentations, we will be posting them online.  All materials provided during our presentations (including the Registration Guide, Math and Science flowcharts, Graduation Requirements, Honors/AP Guidelines Form, and the Registration Forms) are posted on this site below for your reference.

We are registering our current students for the 2019-2020 school year between February 15th and March 15th
(Incoming 9th graders, please see separate section below)

 

 Class of 2020, Class of 2021, & Class of 2022
Our registration process for current students is as follows:

  1. Counselors are providing Registration Presentations and materials for each grade level on Fridays as follows:  Class of 2020 on 2/15, Class of 2021 on 2/22, and Class of 2022 on 3/1.
  2. Students will be instructed to bring home the materials, review options with their families, and make selections on the paper Registration form.
  3. The Registration form must be signed by Parent/Guardian and Student.  If you plan to take an Honors and/or AP Course, please sign and return the AP/Honors Guidelines Form along with your Registration form.
  4. Students will be meeting one-on-one with their counselor the week after their presentation to complete the course selections in Aeries (they will be rotating through with their English classes).  Here is a link to a Tutorial on selecting courses in Aeries.  Please ensure your student comes to that 1:1 meeting prepared with any questions/concerns. If parents still have questions after reviewing the materials and after their student has met with the counselor, please feel welcome to email us.

Examples of the popular courses our students have enjoyed attending include:  Nursing, Medical Assistant, Mind Matters and Mental Health, Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, First Responders, Game Design, Honors Engineering, Sound Engineering, Animation, DJ Mixing and Podcasting, Welding, Automechanics, Floral Design, etc.
